UN to coordinate relief efforts between Yemen and Int'l organizations

SYEON, Nov. 04 (Saba) - UN has voiced its readiness to assist Yemen on the national
level and to coordinate relief efforts with international organizations to provide
the human aid to face rainstorm consequences and reconstruction efforts.

Hadramout deputy governor's Ahmed al-Juniad reviewed with the UN representative for
human aid coordination at Geneva's office Ramzi al-Dafer and UN representative in
Dubai office Majed Abu Quba'ah the damages level due to the rainstorm hit the
governorate late in October.

Al-Juniad highlighted that 99 % of the closed roads have peen open and 85 % of the
electricity network has repaired as well as 99 % of the telecommunication network.

He also acquainted the UN officials with current efforts to eliminate the animal
dead bodies by burning them.

The deputy governor welcomed the human aid specialized organizations' assistance to
avail from their experience in fields of relief and reconstruction.
