Government discusses local governance strategy

SANA'A, Nov. 04 (Saba)-The government discussed in its weekly cabinet's meeting on
Tuesday directives of the President over report raised by Shoura Council on the
project of the national strategy for local governance 2020 approved recently.

The cabinet appreciated recommendations included in the report and agreed on its
report approving the strategy for including observations made on the strategy by
Shoura Council.

In the light of the its discussions to the strategy presented by minister of local
administration, the cabinet took a number of decisions among of which allocating 5
percent of financial resources to those who follow up collecting these resources.

The cabinet then agreed on the suggestion made by the Prime Minister over holding
sub-conferences to local authority on country level in prelusion for holding the
fifth annual conference to local councils.
