Qatar Advisory Council Speaker Heads to Muscat

Doha, May 13 (QNA) - HE the Speaker of the Advisory Council Mohamed Bin Mubarak Al-Kholaifi and his accompanying delegation left Doha Monday afternoon, heading to Muscat on an official visit, at the invitation of Speaker of Oman's Majlis al-Shura (Advisory Council) Sheikh Khalid bin Hilal Al-Mawaly . The Importance of this visit stems from that it comes within the framework of visits exchange between heads of Gulf parliaments, especially after setting the annual regular meeting of the heads of legislatures in 2007, as a mechanism of integration and cooperation between GCC countries and as a very important legislative tributary for the summit meetings of the leaders of GCC States. The visit is expected to have a positive outcome that will provide an opportunity to exchange views and experiences and to discuss all the parliamentary issues and topics of common interest. HE the Speaker of the Advisory Council and his accompanying delegation were seen off at Doha International Airport by a number of council officials and the Omani Ambassador to Qatar Mohamed bin Nasser Al-Wihaibi.
