Qatar Advisory Council Holds Weekly Meeting

Doha, May 13 (QNA) - The Advisory (Shura) Council held on Monday its ordinary weekly meeting of its 41st regular session under its Speaker HE Mohammed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi. At the outset of the meeting, the Advisory Council Secretary-General Fahd bin Mubarak Al Khayareen read the agenda, which was then agreed upon. The Advisory Council then endorsed the minutes of its previous session. The Council reviewed a draft law on tax on the revenues of hotels and tourist restaurants and decided to submit it to the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee for further study and then submit a report thereon to the Council. The Shura Council reviewed the Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee's report on a draft law amending some provisions of law No. (21) of the year 2006 on the private institutions of public interest. Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee's report on a draft law amending some provisions of Advocacy Law No. (23) of the year 2006 was also reviewed during the meeting. Then the council decided to submit its recommendations thereon to the Cabinet. (QNA)
