HH the Emir Chairs Meeting of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment

Doha, May 12 (QNA) - HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani who is also President of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment presided over the Council's second meeting for 2013, held at the Emiri Diwan today. The meeting was attended by HH the Heir Apparent and the Council Vice President Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani. The meeting was also attended by HE the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and the Council's executive member Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani. HE the Minister of Economy and Finance and the Council's Secretary General Youssuf Hussein Kamal told Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the Council discussed at the meeting topics on the agenda and was also briefed on the follow-up of the Council's previous decisions and the measures taken thereon. HE Youssuf Hussein Kamal added that the agenda included a presentation related to Qatar Petroleum next five-year plan (2013-2017), approval of the general budget and the income statement for Qatar Petroleum for fiscal year ending on 31.12.2012. The increase of Hassad Food company's capital from USD one billion to USD 3 billion was also approved.(QNA)
