Malaysian healthcare promotion kicks off in HCM City

HCM City (VNA) - A workshop on Vietnam-Malaysia healthcare cooperation was held in Ho Chi Minh City on November 3 to promote the latter's medical equipment and healthcare services.

It is also the major goal of a delegation from 10 Malaysian hospitals and
medical equipment companies during their four-day stay in Vietnam from
November 2-5. The highlights of the promotion campaign include steel
products used in plastic surgery, reproductive health services and
pharmaceuticals and consultancy.

The Executive Deputy Director of the Malaysian Trade Promotion Agency,
Mohamed Kamarudin Hasan, said the delegation also aimed to seek partnerships
from Vietnamese enterprises and healthcare agencies to promote healthcare
tourism for his country.

The seminar will be followed by an exhibition of Malaysia 's typical
medical products and services and a presentation on neurology. The
delegation will also hold working sessions with Vietnamese partners to
promote cooperation in healthcare.

Ho Chi Minh City is the first leg of the Malaysian healthcare delegation
in its Indochina trip with Cambodia to be the next.--Enditem
