Sout Al Khaleej Radio to Broadcast Emir Cup 2013 Matches

Doha, May 08 (QNA) - Sout Al Khaleej radio station will broadcast HH Emir Cup 2013 football matches and other related events, officials said after signing an agreement. The agreement was signed by Qatar Football Association (QFA) and Sout Al Khaleej radio station at Al Bidda Tower here in Doha by which it becomes the official radio station for the 2013 edition of the prestigious HH Emir Cup football tournament. QFA General Secretary Saoud Al Mohannadi and Sout Al Khaleej General Manager Mohammed Al Marzooqi singed the agreement. The nature of the agreement involves utilizing the station by promoting all HH Emir Cup matches and related events. There will also be radio competitions with prizes awarded to the winners, officials said. Commenting on the partnership Al Mohannadi said, "We are delighted to partner with Sout Al Khaleej for this prestigious tournament. This has been a long term relationship and dates back to the 17th Gulf Cup. Sout Al Khaleej plays a very important role in promoting QFA activities and events." Al Marzooqi said, "We are extremely proud to co-operate with QFA again this year for the 41st edition of Emir Cup and are confident that this partnership will equally benefit both parties by adding more value to the football culture in Qatar. We appreciate the opportunity given by QFA to be the official radio station of the Emir Cup 2013 and hope for a successful cooperation. "This partnership will extend and grow over the forthcoming years. We will host different radio competitions that will revolve around the tournament for the public and many prizes will be awarded to the winners." QFA Marketing and Communications Director Khalid Al Kuwari said, "We are extremely happy for the announcement of Sout Al Khaleej as the official radio station of HH Emir Cup this year. This is another example of QFA's commitment in promoting the Emir Cup vigorously." Through this long-term sponsorship, Sout Al Khaleej will help ensure that all Emir Cup activities and events are promoted amongst the football fans, he added. Sout Al Khaleej Sports Department Chief Rashid Al Mohannadi said, "We look forward to partner with QFA to broadcast news and announcements of the Emir Cup. We had several meetings that aimed to develop an extensive coverage plan for the tournament.
