Qatar Charity Constructs Chartable Projects in Syria

Doha, May 07 (QNA) -A delegation representing Qatar Charity paid visits to a number of Syrian villages in provinces of Idlib and Aleppo in order to observe on a number of the charitable projects including project of the model villages which harbored 100 families as well as the treatment of Leishmaniasis and delivery of ambulances to several health centers in Syria. The charity society ,said in a statement that the model villages sheltering 100 displaced families in Segou area, near the city of Azaz in the province of Aleppo,worth Qr 700,000, saying a village consists of 100 rooms quipped with blankets,mattresses as well as providing cooking utensils, bathrooms and other necessary services. the charity pointed out that the project will be finished in the coming weeks . Ali bin Rashid al Mahra al Mohannadi, the Head of the visiting delegation of Qatar charity to Syria and Executive Director of the Department of Public Affairs , said that this model village is coming within a number of model villages the charity works to construct inside Syria to provide shelter and basic services to the Syrians which comes at top of Qatar Charity's priority. He urged the Qatari people and benefactors to support their brothers in Syria,saying Qatar charity will construct "Ahul Al-Athar Health Center' in Rihaniyya, Termanin and Djima villages at Syrian-Turkish border. He noted that the cases of Leishmaniasis are more than 130 cases, most of them are children and women, a matter which requiring the humanitarian organizations must redouble their efforts to curb this epidemic disease which spread in the area due the swamps of rainwater , sewage , garbage and lack of hygiene. Qatar Charity delegation also visited Bab Al-Salama camp which it was established in collaboration with Red Crescent the Turkish charity IHH since the beginning of the Syrian crisis. (QNA)
