HE Energy Minister Holds High-level Meetings in Paris

Paris, May 03 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada met in Paris with French Minister of Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy Delphine Batho. Talks during the meeting, which was attended by HE Qatar's Ambassador to France Mohammed Jiham Al-Kuwari, covered means of boosting bilateral cooperation between the two countries, in addition to issues of mutual interest, a press release by Qatar Petroleum said. HE Dr. Al-Sada, who is on an official visit to France, attended Friday presentations by the French oil and gas group Total on unconventional hydrocarbon resources, LNG markets, refining and petrochemicals, as well as on solar energy. During his two-day visit, Dr. Al-Sada also held separate meetings with the top management of major French companies. He met with Christophe de Margerie, Total president and CEO; Philippe Barril, executive vice president and chief operating officer onshore/offshore of Technip; Jean Marc Aubry, senior vice president of Technip Region A; and Benoit Potier, CEO of Air Liquide. According to the press release, talks during the meetings, which were attended by high officials from Qatar Petroleum and Qatar Petroleum International, covered cooperation in the energy sector, in addition to issues of mutual interest.
