Yemen, IMF discuss mutual cooperation

SANA'A, Nov. 03 (Saba)- Minster of Planning and International Cooperation
Abdul-Karim al-Arhabi and mission of International Monetary Fund discussed on Monday
mutual cooperation between Yemen and the IMF.

The meeting dealt with economic situations in Yemen on the light of the current
developments toped by consequences of global financial crisis and remedies Yemen has
set up for facing these consequences.

The mission highlighted Yemen efforts in this field and expressed the fund's
readiness for continuing support to Yemen's reforms approach.

Al-Arhabi, who praised existing cooperation between Yemen and the IMF, affirmed
enforcing reforms aiming at improving financial and banking sector in Yemen,
stressing importance of enhancing and improving this cooperation in fields
concerning improving performance of banking sector.
