Delegation of Qatari-European Friendship Association Visits SCFA

Doha, May 01 (QNA) - A delegation of the Qatari-European Friendship Association paid Wednesday a visit to the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA) as part of its visit to a number of official bodies and institutions, and civil society organizations in Qatar. The delegation met the Vice Chair of the SCFA Board of directors, Dr. Juhaynah Sultan Saif al-Issa and Hamad bin Mohammad Feheed Al Hajri, SCFA Secretary general . During the meeting, the delegation was briefed on the Council's activities and achievements. Talks also dealt with a number of issues related to the strategies, policies and initiatives aimed at promoting family life and strengthening families in Qatar. The two sides also reviewed the various forms of active partnership with the government , civil society organizations and the private sector and aspects of regional and international cooperation in this regard. The association, which was launched last year, includes some 30 deputies representing the majority of the European countries. It is the first of its kind for GCC countries, with the State of Qatar taking the lead in cementing its relation with European countries. (QNA)
