QOC Delegation Made Fruitful Visit to Bulgarian Sport Facilities

Sofia, May 01 (QNA) - Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) delegation chaired by HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani , the QOC Secretary General made a series of productive visits to famous sport facilities in Republic of Bulgaria on Tuesday. The QOC delegation who is on two-day official visit to Bulgaria made a visit on Tuesday to Plovdiv city where different aquatic sports facilities are located. Plovdiv city is well- known as hosted city for several championships and sport events over the past years including 2012 World Rowing Championship . QOC delegation to Plovdiv city, incudes HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, HE Mohammed bin Ali Al Nuaimi, Qatars Ambassador to Bulgaria, HE Peter Stoychev, the Minister of Physical Education and Sports, Faisal Saleh Al Mansouri, the Director of Public Relations and Marketing Department, Khaleel Ibraheem Al Jaber, the Director of Sport Affairs Department, Engineer Abdulrahman Abdullah Al Malki, the Director of Engineering Projects Department beside senior sport officials from both sides. The QOC delegation toured in several Bulgarian sport venues including indoor halls, outdoor playgrounds, hotels of athletes and coaches and high class sport complexes, where they received a brief presentation about the services and techniques available at these sport venues. On the sideline of these visits, the QOC delegation held a joint meeting with the Bulgarian counterparts, where a range of topics related to common cooperation in sport and exchanging of expertise were dully discussed. In a related development, QOC delegation extended appreciation to Qatar Embassy staff in Bulgaria for their arrangements and effort given to the visiting delegation during the visit. The QOC delegation also appreciated the effort of HE Mohammed bin Ali Al Nuaimi, Qatars Ambassador to Bulgaria for attending the joint official meetings and arranging all official procedures between Bulgarian and Qatari delegations.(QNA)
