Mongolia to cooperate with IACA

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A chairman of the parliamentary Standing Committee on law Sh.Tuvdendorj MP received Mr Martin Kreutner, the Chair of the International Anti-Corruption Academy /IACA/ on April 27. Tuvdendorj noted that organized transnational crimes are increasing and said Mongolia wants to cooperate with the IACA, for example, by sending Mongolian staffers to the academy in Vienna or running trainings here. In response, Mr Kreutner spoke about the IACA history--inaugurated September 2 of 2010, has 65 members 45 of which have already become party to the Agreement. The State Great Khural approved an agreement on giving international status to the IACA on December 5, 2012, and if Mongolia will continue to actively participate in the academy's works, it will be given opportunities to collaborate in many matters such as preventing the corruption, enlightening the public on anti-corruption issues, preparing experts on identifying and resolving corruption crimes, also in re-training, receiving technical assistance, sharing information.
