HE Minister of Education, Higher Education Opens Education Fair

Doha, April 24 (QNA) - HE Minister of Education and Higher Education and Secretary-General of Supreme Education Council (SEC) Saad bin Ibrahim Al Mahmoud on Wednesday opened the Education Fair, organized by the council under the theme of "Various Alternatives for Better Education." Among participants in the fair, which is held at Doha International Exhibition Center, are the Ministry of Interior, Primary Health Care Corporation, Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (KAHRAMAA), in addition to independent, private Arab and international schools as well as schools of working expats in Qatar. The fair aims to provide distinctive and varied educational options to parents as schools compete to offer better educational alternatives and programs. It also highlights the best practices in the education system, provides an opportunity for parents to see these practices, promotes positive communication between the education sector and the community. The event also provides open interactive channels of awareness for SEC services and makes them more accessible for users, especially e-learning services, educational vouchers and compulsory education. The fair features an SEC pavilion and several others for independent schools, private Arab schools, international schools, and expat community schools. Seminars and scientific sessions of dialogue and debate are held on the sidelines of the 4-day event, which concludes on Saturday. Opening hours of the fair are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., except Friday, when it opens only from 4-8 p.m. SEC has invited all parents, students and those interested in education to visit the fair and accompany their families to know about offered services and participate in making educational decisions.
