BLACK SEA REGIONAL NGOS HOLD 1ST FORUM IN ROMANIA
Baku, 3 November,(AzerTAj)The first Forum of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the Black Sea region was held in Bucharest, Romania from October 31 to November 2.
The Forum was held at the initiative of NGOs Development Foundation, Romanian
Foreign Ministry, United Nations Development Fund, Black Sea Foundation for regional
cooperation and Civil Society in Central and Eastern Europe.
The purpose of the Forum was to establish and strengthen cooperation among NGOs.
The event brought together representatives of more than 100 NGOs from Azerbaijan,
Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Moldova, Turkey, Ukraine, Romania, Russia, Armenia and
other countries.
As part of the visit, Azerbaijani delegation met with the country`s Ambassador to
Romania Eldar Hasanov to discuss the contribution to NGOs in Azerbaijan, their
importance in democratic development, effective cooperation between NGOs and
governmental bodies and other issues.
