Mayor of London Visits Katara

Doha, April 23 (QNA) - The Mayor of London Boris Johnson, who is currently on a visit to Doha, on Tuesday visited Katara Cultural Village, where he was briefed on its various sections and their activities. The Mayor of London praised the idea of the cultural project, saying that it is taking successful steps towards spreading the local and international culture, and helping in achieving cultural exchange. He also commended the active role of Katara in providing common ground for Qatari and international artists and intellectuals. Deputy General Manager of Katara Ahmad Al-Sayid, who escorted the guest during the tour presented a memorial shield to the Mayor of London. (QNA)
