HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Opens 8th World Chambers Congress

Doha, April 23 (QNA) - HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani patronized on Tuesday the opening of the 8th World Chambers Congress, organized by the International Chamber of Commerce World Chambers Federation. The three-day event is hosted by Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the Qatar National Convention Center. The opening was attended by several of Their Excellencies Sheikhs and Ministers, as well as several of Their Excellencies members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Qatar and guests. The opening session began with recitation of verses of the Holy Qur'an, then speeches were delivered by a number of participants. Later, HH the Deputy Emir and Heir Apparent opened exhibition accompanying the conference. HH the Deputy Emir toured the various pavilions of Qatar Chamber, and local and global firms and organizations, where he listened to a detailed explanation about the products and services which the participating companies showcase in the exhibition. The World Chambers Congress is organized by the ICC World Chambers Federation every two years in a different region of the world. It is the only international forum for chamber leaders to share best-practice experiences, exchange insights, develop networks, address the latest business issues affecting their communities, and learn about new areas of innovation from chambers around the world. The event assembles a global community of more than 12,000 chambers of commerce, their leading business members, and influential world leaders. It provides a unique opportunity for interaction between delegates from more than 100 countries. (QNA)
