10th Doha Interfaith Dialogue Conference Kicks Off Tuesday

Doha, April 22 (QNA) - The 10th Doha Interfaith Dialogue Conference kicks off at Doha Ritz Carlton Hotel on Tuesday, themed 'Best Practice in Interfaith Dialogue' . HE Minister of Justice Hassan bin Abdullah al Ghanim will open the Conference. Chairman of Doha International Centre for Interfaith Dialogue (DICID) Dr. Ibrahim Salah Al Naomi said that the three-day conference would discuss four major topics in academic and justices domains as well as conflict resolution and peace and the media culture. He added that the conference is a continuation of the series that started in 2003, lauding the interest of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani in promoting understanding for dialogue among followers of various religions. Dr. Al Nuaimi said that about 500 participants from 75 countries mainly religious leaders and researchers in the fields of comparative religion , institutions , bodies and universities working in the field of interfaith dialogue will participate in the conference. The DICID looks forward to contributing to enhancing the culture of peaceful coexistence , mutual respect and acceptance of others, Dr. Al Nuaimi noted.(QNA)
