Minister of Culture Meets German and Italian Arabists

Doha, April 21 (QNA) - HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage, Dr. Hamad Bin Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari, met here today with the German Translator of Arabic Literature Hartmut Fendric and the Professor of Arab Language and Literature, Translator and Arabist Isabella Camera D'Afflitto, who are visiting Qatar to take part in the Ministry's Cultural Salon due on Monday evening at its headquarters in Dafna. During the meeting, Dr. Al-Kuwari stressed the importance of translating Arabic literature into foreign languages, expressing appreciation for their efforts to translate the Arabic literature into German and Italian. The Minister offered them the" Qatari Writers Guide" book and invited them to take this opportunity to better known Qatari writers. (QNA)
