Urgent aid for rain-affected people in Hodaida, president orders

SANA'A, Nov. 02 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh has directed competent authorities to send emergency aid for rain-affected people in the western province of Hodaida.

The aid would be delivered by the province local authority, after it was hit by
heavy rains over the past two days.

Heavy rains have destroyed completely and partly almost 207 houses with 201 families
affected.

Electricity services have incompletely affected as well.

Recently, many parts of the republic was lashed by devastating rains, particularly
the eastern provinces of Hadramout and Maharh where heavy rains killed more than 91
and more than 31 missing. Rains also ruined more than 2000 houses, swept
agriculture lands, and completely affected infrasturture services in the two
cities.

Local and foreign relief aid overflowed to help the government deal with the
calamity, sheltering and delivering food aid for the affected people.
