VICE PRESIDENT RECEIVES PRINCE CHARLES
Jakarta, Nov. 3 (ANTARA) - Vice President M Jusuf Kalla received Prince Charles of Britain at his palace here on Monday.
Prince Charles arrived at Kalla's palace at 12.10 am local time and was personally greeted by Kalla at the palace's front entrance.
Earlier, the British crown prince was received by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyonoat at the presidential palace.
British Ambassador to Indonesia Martin Hatfull accompanied Prince Charles during his courtesy call on the president.
Charles will give a presidential lecture to members of the Indonesian United Cabinet and to a number of noted figures in the religious and political fields.
After meeting with Vice President Jusuf Kalla, Prince Charles was scheduled to visit the National Museum and the British military graveyard at Menteng Pulo.
The Prince is scheduled to meet the Sultan of Yogyakarta, Hamengku Buwono X, on Tuesday. He will also visit the Buddhist Temple of Borobudur and attend an interfaith dialog in Yoyakarta.
He will return to Britain on Wednesday after concluding his five-day visit in Indonesia since Saturday.
Prince Charles visited a forestry project at Bunku village, Batanghari District in Jambi on Sumatra Island, on Sunday (Nov. 2).
The Harapan Rain Forest of Jambi is managed by a consortium of three non-governmental organizations (NGOs), namely Burung Indonesia, Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), and Bird-Life International which had formed PT Restorasi Ekosistem Indonesia (Reki).
