Iran, SKorea calls for upgrading cooperation

Deputies of Iranian and South Korean foreign ministers in Seoul on Sunday emphasized the need to upgrade cooperation.

Mohammad Mehdi Akhoundzadeh of Iran and his South Korean counterpart Kwon held talks on Tehran-Seoul ties during a seminar on 'Joint investment and trade cooperation'.

Terming level of Tehran-Seoul cooperation as "satisfactory", Akhoundzadeh said there are still more potentials to enhance the present level in accordance to the quick changes and developments occurring in the world.

Meanwhile, the Korean official said for his part that officials of the two countries should try to promote political, cultural and economic ties by exchange of different delegations between the two capitals.

Kwon said that expansion of cultural ties would help promote economic cooperation./end
