Qatari and Egyptian Public Prosecutions Sign Agreement
Doha, April 15 (QNA) - The State of Qatar and the Arab Republic of Egypt have signed a cooperation agreement aimed at exchanging expertise and enhancing cooperation in field of public prosecution.
The agreement was signed for the Qatari side by HE the Attorney General Dr. Ali bin Fetais Al Marri and for the Egyptian side by Attorney General Talaat Ibrahim Mohammed Abdullah.
Addressing a joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart, Dr. Ali bin Fetais Al Marri said the agreement covers training, exchange of experiences and cooperation in the international field all matters related to public prosecutions work.
He praised the cooperation with the Public Prosecution in Egypt in these areas, saying relations between Qatar and Egypt are longstanding and will feature a quantum leap in the coming period.
For his part, the Egyptian Attorney General underlined the the importance of this agreement for the development of joint action and areas of continuous cooperation between the public prosecutions in both countries.
He pointed out that the revolution in Egypt is a revolution in all its institutions, hoping that work in the Egyptian Public Prosecution would enjoy a technological revolution for the benefit of litigants and justice.
The Egyptian Attorney General said one of the terms of the agreement includes the transfer of the technological aspect in the Public Prosecution of Qatar to Egypt, adding that joint committees between the two Attorneys will be set up and reciprocal visits will be exchanged to help develop the performance of the public prosecution in Egypt.(QNA)
