Health Minister discusses cooperation with German counterpart

Dubai, Nov 3, 2008 (WAM) - Minister of Health, Humaid Al-Quttami, met in Dubai yesterday with his visiting German counterpart, Ulla Schmidt and discussed with her ways to boost cooperation between the two countries in the area of health.
During the meeting, which was held in the presence of a number of senior officials of the UAE health ministry, the German Ambassador, Klaus-Peter Brandes and the German Consul General in Dubai, Johann-Adolf Cohausz, Al-Quttami expressed happiness on the visit which, he said, was to boost relations between the two countries in the area of health. He said the UAE people have great confidence and trust in the German health and medical institutions.
They reviewed the efforts of UAE health ministry and institutions and cited the projects his ministry had executed in the past and its future plans to develop services in all the various health sectors.
He expressed deep interest in cooperation between the two countries in the area of health and reiterated his ministry's great interest in boosting such cooperation.
Schmidt, for her part, described cooperation between the two countries as "excellent". She said her ministry was committed to boosting relations of friendship and joint cooperation in the area of health.
She expressed great happiness for the warm reception accorded her and her entourage.
