Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Hails Ties with Qatar

Dhaka, April 10 (QNA) - The Bangladeshi Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr. Dipu Moni has expressed here country's appreciation for Qatar's 'great ' and 'positive' role in resolving differences in order to achieve peace in the Middle East. Qatar plays a major role in the Middle East at the regional and international levels and has taken positive steps and exerted fruitful efforts aimed at finding solutions and achieving peace, Dr.Moni said. The effective efforts being exerted by Qatar in solving the Darfur crisis and achieving peace in the region serves as an example of the Qatari political and diplomatic success, she told Qatar News Agency (QNA). The top diplomat said the relations between the two countries are 'excellent' and 'strong', but there is always room for further enhancement especially in the investment sector, referring in this regard to the exchange of high level business delegations between the two countries in order to activate joint investment. Thousands of skilled and unskilled workers are employed in Qatar... the Bangladeshi community in Qatar has grown tremendously over the past few years, which requires to provide the growing Qatari market with skilled workers, especially in the construction industry, the Minster concluded.
