Qatar, Palestine Sign MoU for Security Cooperation

Doha, April 09 (QNA) -The State of Qatar and Palestine signed here today a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the security field. The MoU was signed for the Qatari side by Minister of State for Interior Affairs HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani and for the Palestinian side by Interior Minister Dr. Saeed Bu Ali. The MoU aims to enhance cooperation to serve the common interests and to contribute effectively to the fight against crime in all its forms and raise the efficiency of the security services, as well as the exchange of expertize and information that contribute to the development of law enforcement agencies, and the exchange of legislation, studies, research, and training programs. Earlier, HE the Minister of State for Interior Affairs met with the Palestinian interior minister to discuss aspects of cooperation in issues of common interest and ways of enhancing and developing them.(QNA)
