Qatar to Host First GCC Military Basketball Championship in October

Doha, April 09 (QNA) - The participants , who attended the 9th meeting of the team work(3/w) for the GCC military sports which concluded here on Tuesday, decided to organize Qatar's first basketball championship by October, 2013 while Oman is to organize the Second Athletics Tournament by 2014 . At the end of the meeting , hosted by the Qatari Military Sports Association with the participation of the GCC general secretariat and the directors of the military sports representing the GCC member states, they also decided to hold the arbitration and training Military Pentathlon in the UAE in 2014, and the beach games is to be held in the Sultanate of Oman in the same year, providing that the said committee's activities for the year 2015 are to be determined at the next meeting. The participants also discussed the fiscal report of the organisational committee of the year 2012 and the 2013 next budget in addition to updating the timetable of the championships and activities of the current year .The attendees also took note of the final fiscal report of the organisational committee of military sports of the year 2012.(QNA)
