BANGKALIS TO HOST 36 RI-CANADA YOUTH EXCHANGE PARTCIPANTS
Pekanbaru, Riau, Nov 1 (ANTARA) - Bengkalis district has been selected as host to 36 participants of the 2008-2009 Indonesia-Canada Youth Exchange Program (PPIK) for three months starting in December 2008, a local official said.
"Bengkalis has been assigned by the Youth and Sports Affair Minister to be the host of the 2008-2009 PPIK partcipants," Bengkalis District Chief H Syamsurizal said here Saturday.
As many as 36 Canadian and Indonesian youths participating in the internatonal program would stay among the people in the district, accommodated in local residents' homes in the villages of Selatharu (Bantan sub district) and Maskom (Bengkalis sub district, ge said.
