Saudi-British Economic Meeting focuses on greater trade

Riyadh, November 02, SPA -- Minister of Commerce and Industry
Abdullah bin Ahmad Zainal chaired here on Saturday evening the
Saudi-British economic meeting.


The meeting was attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin
Abdulaziz, the Assistant Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources
for Petroleum Affairs, Hamad bin Saud al-Sayyari, the Governor of
Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency (SAMA), Amr al-Dabbagh, the Governor of
the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA),and a number
of other officials and businessmen.


The British side at the meeting was comprised of Minister of
Business, Projects and Organizational Reform Lord Peter Mendelson,
the Minister of Energy Ed.Miliband
and a group of British economists.


Following the meeting, Governor of SAMA said in a statement to SPA
that the participants of the meeting had reviewed trade relations
between the two countries in addition to means of supporting the
activities of the businessmen.
