DRAFT PACKAGE LAW TO BE SENT TO PARLIAMENT

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Six draft laws will be submitted the State Great Khural. They were considered by the cabinet meeting Saturday. The package, initiated by the Ministry of Justice, consists of drafts on investigation, on Marshal service, on police service, on enforcement office, on protecting victims and witnesses, on providing legal assistance to convict without financial responsibility. Such legislature has become urgent because a number is increasing of transnational crimes such as human trafficking, money laundering, and drags, moreover, the functions of those organizations, which combat crimes posing a threat to the national security, are not united and accorded, and a great improvement must be done in human resources, finances, economy, technics, equipment, structure and in management matters. By this reason, the government has reflected in its action paltform for 2014-2016 that, for example, the investigative and criminal police departments are to be united as the Investigation Department and that it will have a forensic department.
