Al-Gharrafa Sign Harry Kewell Until End of Season

Doha, April 06 (QNA) - Australian national team captain Harry Kewell has joined Al-Gharrafa on loan till the end of the Qatar Stars League season, the club revealed on Saturday. Kewell will replace his compatriot Mark Bresciano who has been ruled out for six to eight weeks with knee ligaments injury and Al-Gharrafa are already counting on the large experience the ex-Liverpool, Leeds United and Galatasaray can bring to the club. "Kewell will be a great addition to the club thanks to his experience and outstanding abilities. We wish him success and quick harmony with the players," the club's football director Saoud Fatah said. Melbourne Victory was the last club for the Australia forward who won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005 but he departed in 2012 to return to England after just a year at the A-League side.
