Z.ENKHBOLD RECEIVES UNDER-SECRETARY FOR INT'L TRADE AT US DEP OF COMMERCE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Speaker of parliament, Z.Enkhbold received Francisco J. Sanchez, the Under-Secretary for International Trade at the U.S. Department of Commerce on April 5. The Speaker said he had been glad to meet with the U.S. Department of Commerce and to share views with it on economic cooperation during his recent visit to the USA. He said Mongolia attaches a special importance to increasing of the investments of the USA, the Third neighbor, and went on that his country wants to study the U.S. hi tech that can help in trade balance, in increasing export-oriented products and their volume, and in developing national industry based on the mineral resources and traditional animal husbandry. Mr Sanchez said the U.S. side wants to increase trade and economic cooperation with Mongolia, especially to invest in the mining sector and collaborate in it. He also noted that foreign investors are waiting for favorable conditions of the strategically important sector. Ch.Enkhtuya
