Yemen, UAE to guard Houbara Bustard from extinction
SANA'A, Nov. 01 (Saba) - Yemen and UAE have signed a supplement of
the agreement signed early between the two countries in safeguarding
Houbara Bustard from extinction.
Upon his departure Yemen to home on Saturday, the General Secretary
of Abu Dhabi Environment Authority Majid al-Mansouri said that the
agreement included cooperation in fields of reproduction, release
the bird in the Yemen lands and the establishment of natural
reserves of Houbara Bustard in the country.
He said that he discussed, during his meeting, with a number of
Yemeni officials at Water and Environment Ministry bilateral
relations between the two brotherly countries, especially in the
natural disaster management and means to preserve biodiversity of
animal and vegetable in addition to exchanging environment
experiences and information.
