Hadhramout governor meets OIC, Kuwaiti officials in Sayoun
SAYOUN, Nov. 01 (Saba) - During his meeting on Saturday in Sayoun
city with Hadhramout Governor Salem al-Khanbashi, Director of
Humanitarian Affairs Department at the Organization of Islamic
Conference (OIC) Fouad Ali al-Maznai confirmed OIC support for the
current Yemeni government efforts to aid victims of floods disaster
in Hadhramout and Mahrah governorates of eastern region of Yemen and
rebuilding of the two governorates.
Al-Maznai made it clear that the OIC is to held a fact-finding
program to determine volume of humanitarian disaster and assess
damages.
He said that the OIC has provided $250,000 as a first phase to
support relief efforts and to hand over the Yemeni Red Crescent
urgent relief materials.
On the other hand, Hadhramout governor, during his meeting on
Saturday in Sayoun with Deputy ambassador of Kuwait to Sana'a Saud
al-Harbi, hailed support of the State of Kuwait and its contribution
in relief efforts for victims of floods traces.
