Minister of Interior receives members of Award committees
Riyadh, November 01, SPA--Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of
Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Commission of Prince Naif bin
Abdulaziz International Award for Prophet's Sunnah and Contemporary
Islamic Studies received here today members of the Scholarly
Committee of the Award and members of the Committees of Prophet's
Sunnah and Contemporary Islamic Studies including scholars and
intellectuals from the Islamic world.
In a statement following the meeting, the adviser to the Minister of
Interior and the Secretary General of the Award Dr. Saed Al-Orabi
Al-Harthi pointed out that Prince Naif thanked the members of the
award committees for their sincere efforts to achieve the noble
objectives of the award and commended the continual support provided
for the award by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah
bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud,
Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector
General emanating from their desire for supporting all matters in the
service of Islam and Muslims.
Dr. Al-Harthi noted that the supreme commission will soon hold a
meeting to be chaired by Prince Naif to review the eighth subjects
nominated by the committees during their meeting today.
