KING Abdullah visits King Abdulaziz medical city
Riyadh, Nov 1, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King
Abdullah bin Abdulaziz visited here last night King Abdulaziz Medical
City to get assured about the health condition of the Moroccan
Siamese twins (Safa and Marwa) as well as the Iraqi Siamese twins
(Iyad and Ziad).
He congratulated the father of the Iraqi twins for the success of
the separation surgery conducted on them.
The King was welcomed by Dr Abdullah al-Rabee'a, the executive
director of health affairs at the National Guard and head of the
medical team, and a number of officials.
Fathers of the Moroccan Siamese twins and Iraqi Siamese twins
expressed appreciation for the great attention given by the King to
their children.
Speaking on the occasion, King Abdullah highlighted the success
attained in the separation operations and said it provides a clear
evidence for the progress made in the Kingdom in the field of health
services.
He described the Kingdom's efforts in this respect as a humanitarian
work towards a group of sons of the Arab, Muslim nations and the
entire world.
He thanked the medical team which had conducted the operations and
expressed appreciation for their efficiency and keenness on taking
care of the children.
