T.GANDI VISITS CSONGRAD PROVINCE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Hungary, Ms T.Gandi visited Szeged of Csongrad province, Hungary, on March 27.
She received Anna Magyar, a member of the National Assembly (MP) and president of the General Assembly of Csongrad County. The Ambassador spoke about Mongolia's economy, social life, preparation for the Mongolian-Hungarian 4th meeting of Intergovernmental Commission on economic cooperation, and expressed an interest to develop relations in all sectors. A special focus she made on developing regional cooperation, on collaborating in agriculture, food production, environment and water sectors, in implementing programs and projects, for example, by planting fodder plants, building model milk and meat farms, preparing a fodder.
Ms Madiar agreed with the Ambassador and said she will study the proposals.
After this the ambassador visited the University of Szeged. With 30 thous. students, the university is one of Hungary's most distinguished ones. T.Gandi met Prof. Jozsef Pal, PhD, Vice-Rector of international Affairs and public relations of the university, and Maria Ivanics, a head of the Department of Altaic Studies. The ambassador said the Mongol studies might be supported by creating a “Center for Mongol studies”, and asked the Hungarian side to add a quota of Mongolian students, especially majoring in hi tech, to invite instructors from Mongolia, to expand ties between research organizations.
The Szeged university asked Gandi to give them Mongolian language textbooks and dictionaries.
