PRESIDENT ISSUES DECREE ON REINDEER PEOPLE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia's President issued a decree on giving an orientation to the Government March 29. By this, Ts.Elbegdorj wants the Government to activate a "Restoring reindeer farms, improving the tsaatans' life" program. The reindeer people--tsaatan--live in taiga in Tsagaan nuur soum of Khovsgol province. An advisor to the Presient on legal policy Ch.Onorbayar passed the decree to the Minister of Population Development and Social Welfare S.Erdene the same day. The latter noted that the previous cabinet did some work for the tsaatan but never considered them in frames of people-targeted complex policy as the President is doing by his decree. Ch.Enkhtuya
