Arab League Official Praises Qatar's Role on Arab Scene

Cairo, April 01 (QNA) -An Arab League official praised on Monday as energetic Qatar's role in support of joint Arab action and efforts to encounter the challenges besetting the area. At a news conference, the new secretary general ambassador Nassif Hatta said the League believes in Qatar's role in implementing the Arab summit's recent resolutions, including holding the meeting of the Arab peace initiative committee in Doha on April 8 to support Palestinian rights and a conference on development in Darfur. Hatta said the league was focusing on major issues , namely solving the Syria crisis, the Palestinian cause, restructure of the League, promoting Arab development and economic integration and enforcing the economic Arab summits the last of which was held in January 2012 in Riyadh.(QNA)
