D.TERBISHDAGVA RECEIVES RUSSIAN AMBASSADOR

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The Deputy Prime Minister Mr D.Terbishdagva received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Mongolia Mr Victor Samoilenko on April 1. The latter said he wants to consult with Mr Terbishdagva on matters of the 16th meeting of the intergovernmental Mongolia-Russia Commission, and informed the Deputy PM that a Russian group is to arrive to April 15 to consider issues of immovable properties of Russia that are on territory of Mongolia and that a meeting will run April 18-20 of Board of Executive Directors of "Erdenet" mining concern. He also said that a technical renovation, on which many projects and programs have been produced but not approved, is urgently needed at the Ulaanbaatar Railway joint stock. Mr Terbishdagva said that, at the above 16th meeting the Mongolian government managed to had the Russian side understood that Mongolia wants to solve accumulated issues. He said there is some progress in the matter of the Russian property and promised to talk about the meeting of Board of Executive directors of “Erdenet” mining concern with related officials and to report back. After this he spoke about the technical renovation of the “Ulaanbaatar Railway” and touched upon a transit transport, saying Mongolia wants railways, natural gas, crude petroleum and auto transport go on its territories and adding that "we do not have to give explanations to each other, we should realize works." The sides agreed that, in ties of the Russia-China economic relations' increase, Mongolia-Russia ties must be elevated and the financial issues of the "Ulaanbaatar Railway" joint venture is strengthened.
