Lekhwiya Remain in Title Hunt after Big Win in Qatar Stars League

Doha, March 30 (QNA) - Lekhwiya kept their title hopes alive by remaining in second place when they defeated Al Araby on Saturday 4-1, in the 20th round of the Qatar Stars League. Youssef Msakni opened the scoring for Lekhwiya in the 17th minute when he lapsed on a defensive error from Al Araby. Nam Tae-Hee added another in the 44th minute from a free-kick. A brace from Sebastian Soria, scored in the 48th and 86th minute, put the icing on the cake for Lekhwiya. Lekhwiya are only two parts apart from leaders Al Sadd with 42 points. Al Araby are second bottom with 16 points. In another match in Qatar Stars League, Al Rayyan could lose the all-important fourth place after they lost 0-2 to Al Wakra today. Al Rayyan are still in fourth place however, they have 33 points. Al Wakra have 23 points and moved to eighth position after the win. (QNA)
