Arab Summit New Chapter Of Freedom For Syria, Turkish FM Says

Doha , March 26 (QNA) - Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said Tuesday that his country supports the Arab League's resolutions. He praised the current Arab Summit in Doha, describing it as a new chapter of democracy and freedom for Syria. He called for more steps in a bid to help the Syrian people in their revolution. The Arab League recognized the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces as its representative of the Syrian people. Davutoglo also hailed the Arab League for that step, highlighting how the league was one of the leading supporters of the Syrian revolution ever since it froze the membership of the Syrian regime. Davutoglu called on the Arab League to back the new Syrian transitional government. The Turkish Foreign Minister also highlighted the role of his country in helping the Syrian revolution. Turkey hosts around 200,000 Syrian refugees, in addition to a 100,000 more that the country provides aid to. (QNA)
