OIC Chief Highy Appreciates HH the Qatar Emir's Initiative Concerning Al Quds

Doha, March 26 (QNA) - Secretary General of the Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Prof Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has affirmed that the initiative of HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani at the opening session of the 24th Arab summit in Doha earlier Tuesday for the establishment of a fund in support of Al-Quds (Jerusalem), is the most important step taken so far in this regard. Speaking to reporters here today, Ihsanoglu praised the proposal of HH the Emir for the setting up of such a fund with a capital of one billion dollars and his contribution of a quarter of a billion dollars to the fund , reaffirming that it is a step that would be added to the record of Qatar's historical achievements. In regard to HH the Emir's vision of reforming the Arab League , the OIC chief wished every success to such a reform considering the Arab League Secretary General Dr. Nabil Al Arabi a man of long -service of international and legal experience and he is so qualified to lead such a process of reform, said the OIC chief .(QNA)
