Qatar Ministry of Culture To Publish Palestinian Resistance Literature

Doha , March 25 (QNA) - The Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage is planning to publish new literary work by Palestinian writers who were put behind the bars of Israeli occupation, also known as Palestinian resistance literature. HE Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdul Aziz Al Kuwari made the announcement on the sidelines of his meeting with the coordinators of the Qatar-UK 2013 programme. HE the Minister said that he was struck by the idea after he held a meeting with leader of the Islamic movement in Israel Raed Salah, who discussed how Palestinian prisoners have stories to tell that could serve the resistance. HE the Minister stressed that the Ministry would back any effort that accentuates the Islamic and Arabic identity of Palestine. The Ministry will form a committee that will study the literary content available before it publishes them. (QNA)
