HE the Qatar Prime Minister Regrets Al-Khatib Resignation

Doha, March 24 (QNA) - HE the Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Hamad bin Jassim bin Jabor Al Thani expressed Sunday his regret over the resignation of Moaz Al-Khatib from the presidency of National Coalition for Opposition Forces and the Syrian Revolution. Speaking to reporters today, HE the Prime Minister expressed hope that Al-Khatib would reconsider his resignation because it came at a very delicate time. HE the Prime Minister revealed that talks were going on to convince Al-Khatib to withdraw his resignation, particularly as preparations were ongoing to have Syria represented in the Arab Summit. HE the Prime Minister called on the Syrians to seize the opportunity after all their sacrifices in the last two years, especially that March 6 saw an Arab consensus and resolutions from the Arab League that would the Syrian opposition the right to represent Syria.
