AMROZI AND ET AL NEARING EXECUTION
Cilacap, Indonesia, Oct 31 (ANTARA) - The time for the execution of the three Bali bombers - Amrozi, Mukhlas and Imam Samudra - is imminent as the preparations are already made.
Antara monitoring from the Wijayapura port of Cilacap on Friday evening said at about 21:40 local time, a police truck entered the port to be ferried to Nusakambangan island where the three condemned men are being held.
The truck may be carrying mobile brigade police personnel, members of the firing squad and other security officers.
After a few minutes the ferry left the port, and later returned to pick up two vans - brown Kijang Super van and black Panther van -- which had just arrived at the port.
After boarding the ferry, they headed for Sodong port in Nusakambangan.
In the meantime, sources in Nusakambangan said special maximum security cells at the Batu jail holding the three condemned men, had been sterilized since Friday afternoon.
Since Friday, a number of inmates in special cells had been moved to other cells, but Amrozi and et al remained in their cell.
However, until now it was still unknown when and where the three Bali bombers would be executed. But rumors had it that they will be facing a firing squad Saturday evening.
