INT'L MEETING RUNS AT CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Mongolia's Embassy in the Great Britain organized international conference themed "Mongolian natural resources, their geopolitics and geo-economy" March 9-20 at the Cambridge university. The action was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Great Britain. The reports and discussions were all about Mongolia's state and regional policies on exploiting natural resources, private sector and foreign investors' participation, effect on the ecology and people. Mongolia was represented by R.Amarjargal MP and a president of Mongolia's Academy of Sciences B.Enkhtuvshin, the other participants were from Great Britain, Denmark, Russia, China and Japan. A Prof. Caroline Humphrey, the founder and director of research, Mongolia and Inner Asia Studies Unit of the University, informed the gathered that a book has been issued for the 50th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations.
