IRO to survey rain-affected areas in Hadramout valley
SAYOON, Oct 13 (Saba) - The Islamic Relief Organization IRO will
survey affected areas in the valley of Hadramout to identify their
relief needs, director of the IRO office in Yemen Khalid al-Moulid
has said.
The announcement was made at a meeting with deputy governor of
Hadramout for Valley and Desert Affairs Ahmed al-Junaid which
assessed material and human losses in the Hadramout valley caused
by heavy rains that lashed the province and other provinces during
the last few days.
Al-Junaid briefed al-Moulid on efforts exerted by the government
committees and charitable organizations to tackle affects of rains
calamity.
On the other hand, al-Junaid met with the WB representative in Yemen
Naji Abu Hatim and discussed with him relief support the WB will
provide for the people affected by heavy rains particularly in the
infrastructure area.
