RAF Director Praises Impact of Qatari Convoy in Jordan

Amman, March 16 (QNA) - General Director of Sheikh Thani Bin Abdullah for Humanitarian Services (RAF) Ayed Bin Dabssan Al-Qahtani said Saturday that the Qatari convoy organized by the organization in Jordan over three days was a success and extended unlimited support to the Syrian people. Al Qahtani told Qatar News Agency (QNA) today at the end of his visit to Amman that the convoy was a practical translation of the Qatari people's solidarity with the Syrian people in their crisis. He announced that the project to set up 1000 caravans at a cost of QR 10 million will be increased to 1250 caravans. The caravans will offer all sorts of services starting with electricity and sewage. The convoy visited the Al Zaatari camp which hosts 126,000 of a total 450,000 Syrian refugees in Jordan. The General Director of RAF also announced that they will establish an orphanage that can take care of 500 Syrian children in Amman. The convoy concluded its activities with a ceremony in honor of the Syrian and Jordanian orphans, and a meeting with Palestinian refugees in Jordan. (QNA)
