Doha-based Centre Signs MoU with Italian Institute

Rome, March 16 (QNA) - The Doha-based Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the International Institute of Higher Studies in Criminal Sciences (ISISC) in Italy for joint cooperation and training in agreed technical subjects.     The MoU was signed during a visit by HE Attorney General Dr. Ali bin Fetais Al Marri to ISISC, seeking to implement joint training projects at Doha-based center in the fields of criminal justice and the fight against corruption.     Dr. Al Marri met during his visit with president of the International Institute Dr. Mahmoud Cherif Bassiouni, who briefed HE the Attorney General on the facilities of the Institute as well as its activities since its inception in 1972. The ISISC has organized over 480 conferences, training and educational seminars and meetings of experts attended by participants from over 140 countries and 460 universities.     The Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre was launched in Doha two years ago in partnership with the United Nations. It aims at building specialized knowledge and skills required to the strengthening of the rule of law and the fight against corruption in line with international standards and national needs. (QNA)
